The Darkness

Sometimes the darkness tempts us to do drastic dreadful deeds

Even against our own instincts to survive the darkness grabs gainful gumption

The darkness preys on our fragile fruitless fears

It seems this battle against the darkness knows no boundless barrier barrage

I have seen the darkness take full cackling cadaver control

The darkness lashes out without relenting rash remorse

The darkness never ceases its iconoclastic illusive influence

The fight against the darkness will never be totally tactfully terminated

The darkness does not dominate but its moments are obligating overwhelming ochlesis

***This is an original poem inspired by the movie Pelican Blood***
